At the academic event organized by the Internal Training Committee of the International Center for Arabic Language Teaching Application and Research (ARÖMER), Dr. Abdurrahman Bağırlı, an expert in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, delivered a presentation. In his talk, Dr. Bağırlı discussed the traditional Turkish methods of teaching Arabic grammar that developed within the Ottoman scholarly tradition. He explained that these methods were based on a gradual and comprehensive educational system whose primary aim was to enable students to understand sources of Islamic sciences written in Arabic.

At the end of the event, Dr. Abdurrahman Bağırlı emphasized the importance of subjecting traditional methods of Arabic teaching to balanced scholarly criticism. He stated that identifying and addressing the weaknesses of these methods is both acceptable and necessary; however, given their evident contribution to the training of accomplished scholars in the Arabic language and Islamic sciences, it would be unfair to reject these methods entirely.

This event was held as part of the activities of the Internal Training Committee of the International Center for Arabic Language Teaching Application and Research (ARÖMER), which aim to deepen awareness of the history of Arabic language teaching and to connect its well-established educational heritage with modern approaches to language teaching.
