At the kind invitation of Dr. Azmi Beshara, Dr. Ibrahim Helalsah paid a visit to the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies in Doha, where an official meeting was held to explore prospects for academic and institutional cooperation between the two entities.
The meeting brought together the Center’s General Director, Dr. Beshara, and Dr. Helalsah, Director of the School of Foreign Languages and Director of the International Arabic Center at 29 Mayıs University. Discussions focused on developing institutional partnerships in the fields of Arabic language education and scholarly research, with a view to strengthening their impact at both regional and international levels.
Dr. Izzeddine El-Bouchikhi, Executive Director of the Doha Historical Dictionary of Arabic, also attended the meeting, contributing valuable insights drawn from his extensive expertise in Arabic lexicography and language service projects.
During the meeting, Dr. Helalsah presented a set of practical proposals aimed at launching high-quality joint initiatives that would provide tangible benefits to learners of Arabic worldwide. The proposals were welcomed in principle by Dr. Beshara. The meeting concluded with mutual agreement to continue coordination and cooperation, in the hope that this encounter will mark the beginning of a series of fruitful meetings and constructive projects serving students of Arabic across the globe.
